A craic-ing snack for St Patrick’s Day

A craic-ing snack for St Patrick’s Day

Thursday March 17th is St Patrick’s Day, and you can join in the fun at M Rays with a full range of traditional Irish snacks available all week.

We’ve been hard at work producing all kinds of tasty treats to help our Irish customers get a taste of home, and to let everyone else enjoy some Irish flavour too.

You’ll be singing “when Irish pies are smiling…” as you tuck into our delicious Steak & Guinness Pie, with its luxurious and velvety gravy enriched with the iconic Irish tipple – a great way to say you’ve had Guinness on St Patrick’s Day, if you don’t feel like drinking a whole pint of the black stuff.

We also have traditional soda bread, which is a great breakfast option whether you serve it with bacon or beans, and a side of white pudding.

If you have more of a sweet tooth, then our Irish Porter Cake could be just the thing – it’s quite a Christmassy kind of fruit cake, and it’s been just long enough for many of us to be yearning for those festive flavours again.

The difference with Irish Porter Cake though is a good dash of Irish stout, again enriching the flavour and complementing the less sweet ingredients, such as cinnamon and nutmeg spices.

If Porter Cake is too heavy for your tastes, again we have a lighter option, and this time it’s our range of Irish-themed cupcakes, with traditional and fun designs to satisfy the sweetest tooth.

Come into your local M Rays and see what’s in stock – we’re sure we’ll have something to please everybody alongside our regular supply of snacks and treats.

And if you want a lunchtime snack that’s perfect for the occasion, but unlike anything you’ve tried before, we’ll be serving Guinness crisps, too – combining crisp potato with the creamy flavour of the legendary stout for an experience you won’t soon forget.

Irish-themed sandwiches and even the option of a sneaky Irish coffee complete our St Patrick’s Day selection; we’ve worked hard to cover all the bases, so we hope to see you all before the end of the week to join in the celebration.
